Hello! Welcome to today’s blog. I hope you have been enjoying the lovely weather we’ve been having. It’s so nice to see the sun. Today’s card is for a new challenge to me – Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge, where the theme is It’s all about Travel.
I’ve kept my card pretty straightforward for this challenge and used a form of transport that is not available to everyone – well actually it’s not available to any of us at the moment!!!
I think you’ll agree that this is a different way to travel!
Using A5 Theuva card from Claritystamp as a base, I created the hills using a mask torn from copy paper, Adirondack Lettuce ink and the fabulous Clarity Stencil Brushes. (You can also use a brayer to create this background, though the brushes give you a softer finish.) Once the hills were complete I used the Clarity Cloud mask, Adirondack Stonewashed ink and the brushes to give a soft cloudy sky.
The Clarity A5 Boy Bird stencil was attached to the card using masking tape. Archival Black ink was then sponged into the aperture, using make-up sponges, to create the image.
Trees were then added to the landscape using Adirondack Lettuce, medium Tree Silhouette, small Tree Silhouette and small Pear Tree from Claritystamp. Shadows were added to the landscape using Adirondack Lettuce and a make-up sponge.
Here is a close up of the hills
and a close up of the sky
I love this stencil and hope you do too. A fine line was added to the edges using a black Sharpie pen, and the completed image was layered onto Lucky Limeade card from Stampin’ Up! and then onto a card base made from Whisper White card also from Stampin’ Up!
Thank you for stopping by today.
