Having been unable to participate in challenges last year I’m very pleased to be able to join in with Fussy and Fancy challenges once again.
This challenge is Distress It and details can be found here.
Here is my card:
The background was created by squishing Distress Oxides – frayed burlap, iced spruce and faded jeans, onto my glass mat; spritzing the ink with water and dragging the card through the inks. The first pass was dried and where I wanted extra colour I repeated the process with that the ink.
One of the flowers from Sheena Douglass’s A Little But Sketchy-Let the Sun Shine, was inked up with the faded jeans ink, and because I wanted a distressed looking image I gently sptritzed the stamp with water before stamping. I sptritzed the stamp again for the second image and continued sptizing and stamping until there was no more ink on the stamp. I repeated this process with Distress Oxide vintage photo.
The edges were distressed with my Tim Holtz’s distressing tool before Distress Oxide vintage photo was blended around them.
I blended Distress Oxide faded jeans around the edges of a piece of Claritystamp stencil card. Ribbon from my stash was coloured using the inks on my glass mat sptritzed with water. Very messy though I’m pleased with the results.
The finished image was layered onto the blue card and then onto a card blank. The ribbon was added as a bow.
Thank you for taking the time to visit. Good luck to everyone participating in the challenge.
