Claritystamp Challenge – November 2017 – Christmas Time

Hello fellow crafters

It’s time for a new Claritystamp challenge over on Clarity Worldwide and Groovi Worldwide on Facebook.

This month the theme is Christmas Time.

I don’t know about you, I am so not ready this year. Time keeps slipping away from me and I find I’m juggling quite a few things.

My card this month is a simple, elegant card. One that is straightforward and easy to replicate if batch making your cards.

It’s a layered card using elements from the Holly Leaf and Candle Outline stamp sets.

First I cut three layers of white card – mine were 13cm, 12.2 cm and 11.4 cm. It doesn’t really matter what size card you start with as long as the outer two layers are at least 4mm wider than the previous one, to give room for the coloured layers.

The tricky element with this card is keeping the layers together whilst you stamp. This time I used my Tim Holtz Stamping Plaftform from Tonic to do the job!

With the card in place, stamp the Holly leaf across the layers.

Using the outer mask cover the card, leaving the leaf area free:

Stamp your scene using the mini stamps.

When happy with it, tear some copy paper to create snow fall:

Using Distress Ink tumbled glass, a sponge and your mask add your snow.

Once complete remove the mask. Add a sentiment (mine is from Jayne’s Postcard Framer set) and some snowflakes and other elements as you wish. Remember to go over all areas of card. (Sorry no photo for this stage)

When finished, cut three coloured card layers, 4mm larger than each of the white pieces. Layer the white card on the blue and then layer up each pair finally adhering to a 14.85cm square card (6 inches).

Add Pergaglitter to areas of the card- well you need sparkle at Christmas.

The Pergaglitter is available in a set of 6 colours and is a beautiful glitter to use. Although you can see the glitter in the image above here is a close up.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I look forward to seeing your makes for the challenge. We had some lovely ones for October and I know you’ll come up with some fantastic Christmas themed cards.
