Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog.

I do hope you’ve been enjoying warm weather recently. And that those of you on half term are having a lovely time.

It’s time for a new challenge at Claritystamp. There were lots of beautiful pieces for the May challenge and I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with this month. The theme is Party Time:

Party Time 1

As you can see I used the Jive Dancers stencil as the main image.

Firstly take your card (water colour or 300 gsm card is best). Position the inner New York mask towards the bottom of the card. Wet the card and add a selection of brusho paints to create a sky lit with fire works.

Party Time 2

Remove the mask and leave to dry naturally.

Once dry use the outer part of the stencil to cover the brusho sky and add black ink to the bottom of the card using a make-up sponge.

Party Time 3

Clean the mask by sponging the ink from the mask onto the card, and remove the mask

Position the Jive Dancers stencil where you would like it and use an appropriate material to bring the dancers to life. I used Starlight Wax from Imagination Crafts. You could use the Viva Decor Modelling Cream.

Party Time 4

Once dry use a static bag, cornflower or talcum powder over the picture, ready for some heat embossing. Using one of the Allium stamps, add fireworks using Versamark ink and a selection of Chloe’s Wow Embossing powders. Here’s a close up:

Party Time 5

Hopefully you can see the green, pink and gold fireworks. There is a blue firework to the top right of the card.

The finished image was adhered to a base card.
