Claritystamp Challenge – February 2017 – Flower Power

Hello Everyone

Sorry I’m late this month with my DT sample for February’s Claritystamp Challenge over on Facebook. I’ve moved house and have had to put my things into storage. Some of my crafty stash is now with me while most of it is in the lock up. Hopefully I’ll find a new house soon so I can get all my things back.

This month the theme is Flower Power and here is my card:

Flower Power

I’ve kept my card simple this month and here’s how I put it together.

I cut a piece of stencil card to 14cm square, dusted talcum powder over it and fitted the Flower Power stencil over it. Then I covered the stencil apertures with VersaMark ink.

Remove the stencil, cover the card in white embossing powder and heat.

Using stencil brushes add colour to the card. I’ve used Distress Inks – Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Picked Raspberry. Wipe the ink off of the embossed areas with a kitchen towel.

To add the words I stamped sections of the Friends are like flowers sentiment in the Chrysanthemum’s stamp set. This was done by isolating words using Post it Notes and stamping the individual words onto spare Stencil card. These were then cut up and a hand drawn border added.

The words were adhered to the card, sequins added and the card was edged with a Sharpie pen.

Here is the finished card again:

So pretty Angela. The words you’ve chosen are lovely. Just goes to show, sometimes simple is best! I hope you’re reunited with your crafty stash soon! In the meantime you have the ultimate KISS challenge!
