Hello, thank you for stopping by.
Well it’s the beginning of a new month and that means a new Claritystamp challenge. We had such a lot of lovely work for the last month and I hope you’ll join us this month too.
This month the theme is All About the Words. My first sample this month is connected to my favourite place – being by the coast:
The sea was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest last year and despite searching I cannot find it.
First take a piece of Clarity stencil card and mask off 1.5 cm on each side. Stamp the Shell Corner around the edge of the aperture.
Choose four blue inks. I’ve used Distress Ink – tumbling glass, salty ocean, broken china and chipped sapphire. Cut four masks from Post-it Notes (there is a mask available which I don’t have – not sure how that happened!) Take some Post-it Notes and mark out on each the different levels of the sea and cut or tear the note. Taking the first one, place it towards the bottom of the frame and ensuring that the rest of the card is protected, sponge in tumbling glass.
Repeat for each of the waves – 2nd wave is tumbling glass, 3rd wave salty ocean, 4th wave broken china, the darkest blue is chipped sapphire. Top of the wave is broken china.
When finished add a sun and sky ( I used the cloud and sun masks).
Colour the sea shells using your favourite medium. I’ve used Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils.
Stamp the sentiment from the Corner Shell stamp set onto a separate piece of card. Add white pen and Glamour Dust/glitter to the water. Add the stencil card to a card base and then adhere the sentiment using foam mounts.
Here’s a close up of the Glamour Dust, it really does look a lot better when you see it face to face.
I hope you like the card and that it’s given you some inspiration to have a go yourself. See the Clarity Worldwide Group on FaceBook or Groovi Worldwide if you prefer to enter a parchment based card. You could win a £50 Claritystamp voucher.
