Clarity Hampshire and Dorset Workshop – February 2017

Hello Everyone

It was the first Clarity Hampshire and Dorset workshop of 2017 on Saturday and there was a lot of alcohol involved – more of that later.

There was also a celebration as one of our group became a Grandmother again the night before! He is a lovely baby and I hope Susan you managed to get loads of cuddles. Thanks also to Nicky for bringing some extra special biscuits -they were delicious.

The workshop stamp set was the Boy and Clouds set I first saw at last year’s retreat. If you manage to go this year you are so going to enjoy yourself.

As I was moving house in January I have used the water colouring technique we learnt:

Feb 2017 aAnd as usual the group produced some great work:

The next project was a paper piecing one using the beautiful new Clarity backing papers:

Here are the fab cards the ladies made:

Then after lunch we got out the alcohol  ……… alcohol inks that is. We played with Yupo paper and alcohol inks, water and alcohol inks, alcohol inks on acetate and then decorated a glass.

I came across Yupo a while ago and we played with it and alcohol inks on the Clarity retreat too.

The photos below show what the ladies came up with during the afternoon:

We all had a great time. If you’d like to join one of my workshops, in either St Leonards Dorset, Thatcham Berkshire, Bristol and soon Taunton, Somerset then please see my Workshops page.

Looks like you all had a fun day, so sorry I missed it, was supposed to go away, but both hubby and I are full of the cough, cold and sore throat, not happy…Hopefully meet up soon….These projects just look amazing, not sure what Yupo is !!!!!

    1. Angela Simpson

Hi Ursula we missed you too. Yupo is a synthetic paper that you cannot tear.
