Happy New Year!

Saturday was the first workshop of the year both for me and for the Clarity Dorset and Hampshire Workshop group. I’ve changed the focus of the workshops this year to allow more time for the group to practise and play with the techniques we look at each session.

This month we made a journal in which to keep our samples. Made of grey board the group were left to decorate the outer front and back covers. I must take a moment to say thank you to my sister, Gillian, who helped me to cut, corner and hole punch the grey board.

There was also time to look at different texture pastes, what we can do with them and how they look when dry.

Here are the ladies busy working on their journals

And here are their journals:

The group also played with stencils using ink and texture paste.

I don’t have pictures of all their work as there was lots of pieces. Here’s a sample I showed them, based on one of Maria’s samples she demonstrated at Clarity’s open day last year in Crowborough.

Thank you for taking the time to visit. Next month we are playing with mini Gel presses.
