I do hope this finds you well and that January 2016 has been good to you. How are your new year resolutions doing? I never made any – that way I can’t fail to keep them!!!
Thank you to everyone who entered January’s challenge, your entries were great, and every month it gets harder to choose the top five. They all deserve a mention.
As you know, this is the time for a new Clarity challenge, and this month it’s love. I decided to go with a simple, elegant wedding anniversary card:
Cutting a piece of Theuva card to size (13cm square) I used the Heart Rose stencil for the large heart.
As you can see a few pieces of Post-it note were used to mask the rest of the stencil off. I used one of the new Distress Ink colours – wilted violet and a Clarity stencil brush to add the heart to the card, keeping the centre a little lighter. I then stamped the couple from the Wee Folk set of stamps in Versafine Onyx Black.
Using the heart stencil from the Basic Backgrounds A5 set of stencils I added three more hearts above the main heart.
Out come those Post-it notes again! along with the wilted violet Distress Ink and stencil brush.
Leaving the stencil and Post-it notes in place I stamped the small Leafy Swirl stamp across the hearts using Flitter Glue. Lifting the stencil carefully I then added Martha Stewart glitter to the glue. I then also masked off the large heart and stamped the Leafy Swirl again using Flitter Glue and then added more glitter.
The topper was layered onto some complementary card and then adhered to the card base. I added an insert which had been stencilled with the hearts from the background stencil and a sentiment using the Congrats on your Anniversary stamp and Archival Watering Can ink.
It was then I decided to add a ribbon and a few jewel gems also from Stampin’ Up!
I hope this, along with the great samples from other members of the Design Team, inspires you to take part. You could be the lucky winner of a £50 Clarity voucher.
Thanks for taking a look.
