Well it’s jolly cold whilst I write this and I know that many have it far worse with deep snow drifts. At the moment there is no snow where I live. Update….there is now snow where I live. 🙂
Today I thought I’d show you a card I made for a male relative:
I stamped Sheena’s Time Machine onto a square of Sheena card. I lightly painted the stamped image using Spectrum Aqua markers, colouring the smoke and adding a shadow around the right hand side and base of the time machine.
Using the matching die I cut an image from Sheena card and stamped the image onto it. Again I coloured it with Aqua markers. Each time I placed the watercolour into a glass mat and used a damp round brush to add the colour to the image.
The sentiment was added to the square card, and a vignette added around the edges using Distress Ink tea dye.
I blended Distress Ink spiced marmalade around the edge of another piece of card, slightly larger than the topper. Once dry I layered the topper card onto the inked card and then onto a 6 x 6 (14.8 x 14.8 cm) base card.
The die cut time machine was shaped to give it dimension and then adhered over the stamped image using foam tape.
This is a simple card, partly due to the lack of time I had to make it, yet I think it’s a great card for my male relative.
Thank you for stopping by.
